A combo of RyJo and Fabbro would be nice in DET, maybe add a 2nd/3rd?

I think of we bring in Johansen we need to move a bit of cap out. Although it doesn't seem like it now but we could have issues next year with Raymond, Seider, Berggren and Rasmussen extensions. Also it would make it tough to pursue a higher end free agent like Debrincat. I also totally expect some players to be brought in this free agency as well which will likely be more than one year deals.

Is Nashville aware of Fabbri's injury history when submitting this trade?

The 4 mil isn't an issue. And if he's injured for an extended period of time, throw him on LTIR.

he had a decent stint this season in 20 games. I'd rather have the 4m for two years.

It would be cool to see Adam foote coach his son like he did in Kelowna. That didn't end well though haha

True but when Adam coached Nolan he did good and since Canucks have hronk Foote could play with hirose or oel leaving bear on bottom but the Canucks have had interest with cal

I think signing free agents this summer to multiple years would be a mistake. Trading for assets that are within the window make more sense even with higher priced assets. Lets say we sign a RHD or Killorn to 2-5 year deals, those players are not getting to the playoffs, but a RyJo, Debrincat, Guentzel, Rakell, Boeser, etc will help us get there with some player development. We have big holes at RW or RH LW, 2C/RH C, RHD, a true #1 goalie or 1B and players with grit/size. We are not 1 year away yet thus we should be taking on cap to get assets while acquiring talent with those assets. Why not take on Myers or why didn't we take on Zaitsev and we'd have picks 41-44 in this draft? Imagine another 2nd round pick when we could use a serviceable RHD for only 1 year while this years cap will not be an issue at all.

Oh I totally agree with the cap dump aspect. Seems like a waste to not do it. I would have loved that Zaitsev deal. Make the fourth a fifth or sixth or just get rid of it. Pretty much all my AGMs I make I have us taking Bailey and two seconds for Mastrosimone and Kubalik. Seems to work for Islanders fans. Everything else you said I agree with as well.

I think we can get more than a 3rd at the deadline for a 20 plus goal scoring winger making just over 2 million (retaining half)

He's a defensive casualty. If you're getting a 2nd for him, it won't be from us lmao.

Okay. Says the guy spending time making an AGM acquiring him for a 3rd. Like a 2nd is such a reach lol.

Yeah no team will give a 2nd for a player making 2.375 million to net over 20 goals. Come on man, get real.
