Ranger trade is absurd. Drury says no thanks and counter offers a 2025 7th round pick for Seth Jones with 50% retention.

CHI could just offer sheet Laf at $4.2M and only give up their 2024 2nd round pick, if ya'll like that better. Good luck matching, too, it's certainly doable, but not without it's sacrifices.

It's certainly doable, but only on cf. Ya'll need to understand that. Lol

A yes, the childish offer sheet threat from an unhappy fan because another teams fans won't accept a garbage trade for one of their young players. Good luck with that nonsense offer sheet threat.

I mean... It's not childish or a threat, it's just a very real consideration for the Rangers. I have no dog in this fight because I don't even want Laf. There are plenty of teams that could offer $4.2M and matching would force the Rangers to make some significantly difficult decisions. I wouldn't take the possibility so lightly if I were you.

Not sure what you mean by that. I meant that MATCHING was doable for the Rangers but would likely include them making sacrifices elsewhere on the roster. But CF is almost exactly like the real thing. Not being like the real thing and using the same parameters as the real thing would defeat the purpose of this site all together.

37 offer sheets in 37 years in the NHL and only a couple have been successful, so yeah, I think Drury will sleep ok tonight. And it is very childish to make the treat after a teams fans turn down a ridicules trade offer for one of their young players....its what a spoiled 8 year old boy would do.

Again, it wasn't a threat, it was just something to consider that is a completely valid and realistic possibility under the rules laid out in the NHL's Collective Bargaining Agreement. What was offered in that proposal is significantly better than what the Rangers would get with a $4.2M offer sheet, and a $4.2M offer sheet would be difficult for the Rangers to match without significant repercussions elsewhere on their roster. It was a hypothetical situation. So, I'm not even saying that anyone would ACTUALLY do it, but it has to be a consideration. You're the one who sounds like a child getting all huffy and defensive over something that is completely realistic, legal, and based in reality, instead of just accepting the reality of the situation and hoping it doesn't happen.

Here is what you said word for word......."CHI could just offer sheet Laf at $4.2M and only give up their 2024 2nd round pick, if ya'll like that better. Good luck matching, too, it's certainly doable, but not without it's sacrifices". Not a childish treat you say? Take our crappy trade offer or else....like an 8 year old. You going to take your ball and go home too? Grow up.

lol. What about that isn't hypothetical and isn't exactly what I just laid out to you multiple times? I'm not the one reading way too far into things and getting offended over nothing. I honestly don't even care, at this point I'm just having fun keeping this going so I can watch you freak out and grasp at straws. But, would you maybe just take a step back for a second and consider the possibility that you read that with the entirely wrong tone in your head...

Don't see why either NYR or EDM would be okay with these moves.

lol. I was chill. That person was probably just flustered about the Rangers choking against NJD and taking it out on me.

Edmonton declines hard. They refused to trade Broberg for Chychrun, they aren't selling him and Yamamoto for a late 2nd.

I mean... I tried to be calm and matter of fact most of that conversation while they were calling me names and being petty. So, tell them that. haha
