After Bowness' comments following that performance, I don't see how the Canadiens are going to have to pay more than the Florida pick and one of those players for DuBois.

Fairly certain Dvorak is there to clear out cap/roster space, I don't imagine he's the meat of that trade.

I still think a 1st and Kidney/Beck is what makes sense. Norlinder is a non-factor.

I would hold Dvorak as he perfectly fills a 3rd line Center role and the truth is, "you don't know what you've got 'til its gone".

But he's not a cap dump. He's a valuable part of the Canadiens. He's well liked. Does his job competently. The only two knocks against him is that he's paid about 1M more than he's worth and he's not Danault.

Funny enough I see comments here about how I’m giving too much for Dubois right now, but not a month ago he was supposedly worth 2 first unprotected picks, Beck, Baron, heck even Caufield in some cases.. and much more.

Now I’m seeing tons of AGMs, some even from the people that were throwing me insults about how I was being delusional, giving up Dubois for a protected 1st, a 3rd and filler players…

I think if Chev makes the move, he’ll want to save face a bit and Hugues may just give him Dvorak and a prospect like Beck to do that. Evans needs a bigger role like the third, and Habs may also be able to find a player that cost less than Dvorak for a one year contract to play his role.

Let’s not forget that this year Habs will get a top prospect, they may end up with Smith or someone else who will be developed to play a top 6 role with the team.
