If you bring Pod into the equation it becomes just Pod. Kid is still 21.

Nah, I think I would do that deal. Sell on Podz' potential rather than risk him becoming another Virtanen or Gaudette.

There is no way both of those guys get shipped in a two for one. I agree if Van is going to continue to play Pod 8 mins a night and give him no opportunities, then why keep him over adding someone like Colton to play 3C? But not for both.

Not re-signing UFA Killorn will give Tampa enough cap space to re-sign Colton. Cole isn't taking that AAV to stay in Tampa. He made 3 mil last season and good UFA D are always in demand.

With the offers Tampa gets for him, I don't think you'll get him for Podz straight up, unless the Bolts REALLY like him. I think Podz' development really suffered in the K, and I'm not sure I see him even reaching Colton's level now, even with the ice time. My only real concern with Colton is he's not right handed.

But Colton fits a need, if the playoffs are where they want to be next year, IMO you make the deal for the player you know can fill a role on your team rather than waiting on the potential of B prospects.

Rather keep him anyway as I said about Palat last year if Killorn was going to take a stupid cheap offer he'd already walked into JBB's office and signed it. Colton will be a 30+ goal scorer playing 17 mpg with top 6 guys

Not worth it for the Canucks. Colton is not THAT good. Basically just like Garland type of player when the Canucks traded for him.

Podz was pretty solid his rookie year then the Canucks wanted to spend like wild on wingers. I agree, if the Canucks FO wants to push, go for it all the way. I'd be okay with parting with one.
