NYR have no reason to give up Laffy for anything but an overpayment. He's still only 21 and has gotten better every year. No he is not living up to the draft pedigree but sometimes it takes players a bit longer to figure everything out. The only way I could see NYR entertaining an offer from MTL is if they put 5th overall (assuming they don't move up, and simply one for one) on the table. Probably also depends on if Will Smith is still available.
