Unfortunately, Kane’s probably going to be gone for at least half of next season while he undergoes surgery for his hip injury. If no teams are interested in signing him long-term during the offseason due to his injury, then maybe he opts to wait until mid-season, and signs a small contract with the Rangers.

Gee, I don't what the attraction is for Kane as a Ranger. Why do the Kraken make that trade? To help Rangers with their cap?

Doesn't he need hip surgery? Sure floated like it! Which means he'd be out most of the year. Who's gonna sign him to anything more?? Either way, stick a fork in him...
