Description
Leafs need a change after losing to FLA.. they break up the big four.

Get some young pieces with high ceilings that can produce on cheap contracts and the veteran Mayfield who's the type of player they desperately need defensively.

Leafs also gain back some crucial picks that they lost at previous deadlines etc.

Isles acquire a top line winger to play with Barzal and Horvat and send picks, prospects, and essentially a sign and trade with Wahlstrom and Mayfield to Toronto.

Lou gets his former Leafs and continues doubling down and tripling down on trading picks and prospects for established players.

Liljegren gets a fresh start on Long Island after no getting the ice team he wants and looking for a move.. Isles get their puck moving , 3rd pair offensive D man that can continue to grow.

Isles add to their collection of Swedish players.

It makes sense for both sides... is the price right?

If Mayfield had a contract in place, I think the value would be there.

Personally I think thats a move TOR should be looking to do and maybe the "sign and trade" can be a thing but I don't think in this scenario it will hold much or any value in this proposal.

    Bailey value is fine.

I've seen that Ross Johnston to MTL idea a few times already...this isn't really a need for the Habs, and he probably wouldn't even make the 23-men roster for us.

First Mayfield is unsigned agent, second it would be stupid to trade for Nylander when he is going want a 8.5 million aav contract . You have Wahlstrom for another 4 years at team control that very well can develop into a 30 goal sniper.
