As long as they don't bring in another oldhead from the revolving carousel of guys who don't win cups, I'm all for it.

Yea I think a better deadline would look more like the one Drury had last year, bringing in a few different pieces at low cost to fill specific holes. And If I'm being honest I think the Kane trade might've been Dolan's call.

This roster has a few question marks (1RW, 2RW, 3LW, 3LD, Backup) but all of those can be addressed with a deadline move if needed and hey maybe they don't even need to be you never know

Oh i just meant with regards to the coaching position. I would definitely like to see someone new break into the league, because as we saw (again) with Gallant, the same old boys don't seem to get it done.

I don't think there's a whole lot left you need to fill in the roster as long as you're able to keep Laf and Miller. Keeping Motte would be nice but not a necessity. Trade deadlines are hard to judge, because there is an array of different players available every year. Clearly they went out and got Kane and Tarasenko because they thought playoff scoring would be an issue (they were right). But ultimately you're going to have to live and die by the core group of guys because nobody is going anywhere. I think getting Kane and Tarasenko was a special opportunity they felt they couldnt pass up due to chemistry reasons. Don't think it happens again.

Ah yeah that makes sense. I agree with regards to coaching and I hope Drury does too. He also has an established relationship with Knoblauch as he hired him for the Wolf Pack job. I think a big part of that is seeing just how well this Hartford team does in the playoffs

Really didn't care about the team but for a team that's going into a rebuild I don't see how this is a bad move

Why we trading Grubbe for nothing? Had a good year in Red Deer. Looks like a deal in three years if he’s a bust

Pretty sure you said that about the last Goodrow to SJ yet you still deliberately do it. Hm. Troll much?

Sounds like we're letting him go for some reason

Because he’s an overpaid 4C and nobody wants to take on $20 mil to move up two rounds in a different draft.

Word is Rangers were looking to trade him. Apparently his play hasnt been very impressive and is being masked by a lot of secondary assists, that was just what I’ve seen from rumors though.

You can look through my posts I have not traded Goodrow to SJ in any posts before.

Also acquiring picks for contracts is kinda what rebuilding teams are supposed to do, and with the cap going up soon it’ll be negligible in a few years if you want to move him then

You’re right I missed that one a few weeks ago. Frank Seravelli reported that he’s been made available due to unlikely signing by June 1 deadline
