If that fails Boston would do Ullmark for the 1st. 1 for 1. Providing Ullmark was willing. 🤷🏻‍♂️

I'd do a 1st for Ullmark, but not the 2023 1st. It would have to be the 2024 1st.

If we move the 1st I dont think it should be for a goalie. We can get someone adequate in free agency for goal. Korpisolo, Adin Hill, Varlamov, and others would be fine and could get the job done behind a good D. Goalie won't matter unless we can shore up the D and overall team defense. If we move the 1st it should be for a major, big time name that could significantly upgrade our forward core or D.

How about double the trade value?

Trade Petry and 14 to Detroit for 17 and then flip 17 + for a goalie.

Have you actually looked at the goalies available?

If the Pens can get Hellebyuck or Saros by moving the first, you do it and don't look back.

Rutta is exactly the type of dman the wings need on the right side. Rutta has been a difference-maker when healthy, but he's a luxury the Pens really can't afford.

I'm not paying a 1st to move Petry. The views on Petry on this board are all completely wrong and I'm really getting exhausted by the large amount of ignorance.

Guess we agree to disagree then. Saros would be unreal and if we were an up and coming team I'd do it, but dont think it's worth it trading the 1st for him for only 1 year left of contending probably.
