Description
A bit off the wall.

EK65 fits with Ovi/Backstrom/Carlson's closing window. You also pick up two excellent younger players in Barabanov and Girard, and still have 7.3m to finish filling out the roster. Barbanov had twice the production of Mantha at less than half the price.

Not sure about the Kuznetzov trade. I don't know where he'll end up but likely a 1st comes back in the package that you can trade to the Sharks.

SJS ends up with 5 picks in the first round with 2 in the top 10.

The Karlsson-Burns experiment was a massive failure with both of them needing the same deployment and powerplay minutes to thrive. A Karlsson-Carlson D corps would end the same way.

yeah, a lot of people do not consider this. Another example is the Karlsson to Buffalo ACGMs. He needs tons of greedy ice time to make his crazy plays. Might work for Seattle and Edmonton if you swap him with some lesser younger offensive D.

Edmonton was the only good fit for him, but I think they correctly identified Ekholm as a bitter fit for the price

I think Ekholm and Karlsson would work great together and they can fit, but they'd have to move Bouchard out
