These are very generous trades. Why Would the Wild do this?

They dont like calen, they will ship him off since he’s a RFA, steel was never in the lineup so get what ever. And Bill G said he wanted to create cap space so either mats or moose will be on their way out

Shaw doesn't get 2M. More like 850k. He's out with his 4th ACL tear and it's gonna be a very long road back. Guerin will give him a contract out of respect, but Wild are not planning for him to be in the lineup. Hope for the best with him, but gotta plan around it.

Also you're just missing Duhaime altogether here.

1M is the absolute max Shaw will get. 750-975k range for him. Awesome kid, but injuries + body of work don't warrant anything more.

That’s fair, i hope he gets a mil ngl. He deserves it, had a great year till he got hurt. We really could have used him on the pk vs the stars

Yeah if anyone deserves it, it's him. He was one of my favorite players to watch - all heart every shift.

I think it’s more like goose gets moved or retires before moose gets moved. And reavo wants stability, no moving so I think he’s going to get a deal more like 2x1-1.2m with some trade protection.

If you out Shaw on ltir you’ll get that cap space too

Detroit just traded Filip Hronek away and are not going to trade for a player that essentially is a carbon copy of him. No problem with the price but the wrong team.

IMO Stevie Y made that Hronek deal to maximize the return on a guy he wasn’t gonna re-sign.

If DET needs a PP replacement, Addison for one of those THREE 2nd round picks is good business.

I’m not sure why there is any question about what Shaw will get. It’s gonna be league minimum two-way deal and likely an AHL deal until he’s clear to play. Can’t afford the cap constraints with LTI.

But as for Moose, IDK how you have both him and Reavo going into next year. If Reavo signs, I’m expecting a Moose trade soon after.

Ik I picked a random team, that’s pretty much for any team just the price
