It’s not bad I think a winger can be had at a steep discount and paying for one in the off season is short sighted.

If the Avs move a defenseman to Columbus, Roslovic and Bemstrom don't really do much for me. I'd rather see if they'd be willing to part with a guy like Sillinger, even though he may not help a lot in the immediate term, or a d prospect like Svozil. Then the Avs can try to flip some different assets to fill another hole (Kuzy, Rico, etc).

Not a bad effort overall. I just think I prefer different options.

Are you talking about a UFA winger? Who do you have in mind?

I don’t have anybody specifically in mind, but this is the situation where I would roll the dice on a 1yr prove it deal with Drouin and make a play on ROR. As for a winger there are teams in deep cap trouble that will look to shed salary and wingers are usually those guys, heck maybe BOS is willing to take a Bjorkstrand type of trade for Hall in an effort to re-sign someone else.

That's what I thought you were getting at. ROR is actually a good target and he doesn't have a lot of leverage to ask for a ton of money except for this UFA class being ridiculously thin so that could work in his favor. Avs fans need to get over how he left and realize he could help this team win. He's not what he once was but he could provide stability to the middle six. Hall is a good target, too.
