Brodie is a top 4 dman on any team in the league. Also he would have 2.5m cap hit on year 2 of this agm, which is when we actually need to cap space for Matthews and Nylander...

or even better, sign one of the many viable UFA options and save the picks entirely... there are just so many decent backup goalie options on the market this season, that trading for a second or even third tier goalie just doesn't make sense to me...

No. Waste of a 2nd round pick in a deep draft. Could use that pick for help now at C, W or D.

Or we can use it to draft a good player or move up in the draft.
