Not sure EDM is in a position to move Kulak, he's sneakily been one of their most consistent D men these playoffs.

I'd take Colton for that but Tampa hates picks. They'll want a player for Colton if they decide to trade him.

Show me one trade Julien Brisebois made that sent an established NHL player for picks. If they trade him ( they absolutely shouldn't) this is garbage

The two picks are immediately traded away for players.

Sounds like JBB. Makes sense. I still think Tampa keeps Colton.

That whole notion that a team hates picks is kind of silly. Yeah they traded a bunch of picks for players but eventually they will need young ELC to fill the holes. You can only really get those through the draft.

What has Julien Brisebois done that makes you think with this core he does right now? His statement post TDL and end of season presser makes it abundantly clear he places little to no value on them currently

It's not silly at all. Listen to JBB at the trade deadline instead of insinuating I'm a liar. I thought I blocked you? My fault.

I guess he didn't build the team through the draft, that was Yzerman. Still eventually you will need to draft a couple players if you want some longevity.

I didn't insinuate you were a liar. Just saying that eventually they will need to draft some players.

I think you are seriously undervaluing Kulak here. He's a very solid LHD, a position we are in dire need of. It comes down to Colton or Killorn, and I have a feeling that JBB is sticking with the longest tenured Bolt; a proven playoff performer and a franchise cornerstone. Colton will only fetch a 2nd rounder if offer sheeted (most likely between 2.1-4.2m), so it's not unfathomable that we only get a 2nd plus one pick/asset out of a Colton trade. You are right though, JBB values players he can use now over picks, that's why he'll most likely use the assets picked up in the Colton trade to acquire positional needs. Do I wish and hope for more? Absolutely. Have to be realistic though. JBB has a target on his back and teams don't like to help Tampa out.

I'm glad people are finally realizing Kulak has been really solid in playoffs
