Description

You could probably add a 1st rounder to the Matthews trade. But im assuming this is only a 1 year rental so the value wouldnt be as high as it would be if he were signed long term

Leafs get a top 2 d man and a very good two way scorer. The team loses out on some goals but depth is added for the playoffs. They have 5m left so if they really need another scorer come TDL, they can trade for one

That is a terrible trade for us. I don't want that Weegar contract, let alone giving up Matthews to get it is asinine.

Don't see AZ as a landing spot for Murray. They won't want that $6m in actual salary on their books

I don't think it makes the Leafs better at scoring which is their biggest issue in the playoffs. However, I think the value on the trade is about what I would expect as a Leafs fan.

I just laughed so hard at that Matthews trade it startled my grandmother and she had a heart attack and died.
