I don't see the Hawks sending better than the NYR 2nd in this Murray with the Boston 1st concept and it really should be one of the 3rds.

I thought the precedent to dump 6 million in salary was set by the Leafs with the Marleau trade is the #13OA (Seth Jarvis)? Trades are more govern by circumstances than just precedent. The circumstances for the Hawks are different (last year they actually needed a couple goalies, had no 1st round picks, and a new GM trying to make his mark).

Using the Atlantic value chart for picks, the net of all the picks in this proposal is the Hawks get the value of pick #53 for taking 6 million salary.
