Oh man, if jets are looking to move on from Helly, the idea of trading Scheifele to BOS for a package built around swayman would be very interesting.

WPG says yes, because they need a goalie and some more grit.

Reality is that BOS will probably have to give something to unload Reilly. He's serviceable but cap space is at a premium and BOS is over the barrel if they hope to take on a big contract like Scheifele.

BOS should not want any part of Scheif, especially for that package...

I see it as if they can get this package for Scheifele including a goalie, then they can maximize the return for Hellebuyck and somehow remain competitive

100% agreed - to get future considerations for him would be best case scenario

Why not? Scheifele just scored 42 goals and would cost the Bruins 3M$. Try to find one 40-goal scorer who had a 3 M$ cap hit or less last year…

Long time CHI fan who remembers the 6-8 years of Cap Hell...even guys who are talented will cost something to unload. It's not that they can't play, it's that the rest of the league knows they can put the screws to a team with no cap wiggle room. It's one of the costs of being a great team like BOS is right now.
