There's no way the flyers retain on Hayes and take on Marner's bloated contract.

Im not sure how Marner's contract is "bloated". He is a two time (current) 1st team Allstar RW and Selke candidate.

I love how people keep talking about Marner's bloated contract. He hasn't had playoff success yet, but he's a difference maker. He's 26 years old. He's got plenty of time.

Yeah, and he's gonna be UFA in two years. Coming off an 11M deal. He's a damn fine player, but his contract is bloated. It's not Bobby Holik Rangers bloated, but he is still a little overpaid on his current deal and will probably be overpaid on his next deal, too.

Marner isn't a bad player, but he represents absolutely zero value to the Flyers on their current timeline.
