No chance VAN does this, the Canucks can't afford to trade Miller without getting a Center back. Also dealing a ppg center and the 11th overall pick for a pending UFA a B tier Defense prospect is terrible business.

Miller and 11th Overall for 1 year of Nylander and Liljegren? Dubas would take it and run

Leafs decline.

Miller is 30 and has been a PPG player 3 times - never scored 40
Nylander is 27 and has been a PPG player 2 times - has scored 40
Nylander is way more valuable than Miller IMO.

I do agree that VAN shouldn't trade the 11 OA

Both teams decline. This isn't what they need/want.

Toronto needs to get younger, not older. While Miller would do well in Toronto, he's too old and too expensive for their core. They'd find a better offer for Nylander if he's on the market, even from Vancouver if they are interested.

Vancouver doesn't want to move Miller without getting a center in return. Even if that center is "okay" like a cap whale like Granlund from the Pens. And Vancouver wont trade that 11th unless it's giving them a usable player AND freeing cap at the same time. Which is highly unlikely.

Nope he is not in the position to make that trade.
