As much as that ADB trade is interesting, if he signing for 8 million long term, he's staying in Ottawa. Makes no sense to trade him when he's willing to sign for that price.

Hawks aren't trading Soderblom for those table scraps. Nothing in that offer the Hawks remotely want.

I wouldn't see it as how much he's willing to sign for but rather where he's willing to sign for that much, I believe he's shown no interest in signing with Ottawa plus with all of the rumors of being moved at the draft and such I feel Nashville would be a good spot for him.

Fair enough, essentially dumping pieces for a decent goaltending prospect, only reason I chose Soderblom was because it seems like CHI has a backlog of goaltending prospects with Stauber, Commesso etc.

Would you mind expanding on that? Just want to know what to do better, be as critical as you'd like.

Where has he shown no interest in signing? What rumours you talking about? I've seen nothing but speculation.

I very well may be wrong but I've seen way too much talk about him being moved at the draft for it to simply be speculation.

I think every team passes here besides the Pittsburgh trade.

Duchene can't play center. He can take draws on the PP but he's a winger. Glass will play the middle.

I don't mind Cat, but we have a backlog of RHW. I'd be more interested in moving the Edmonton first for a player like Crouse.

Starts with a 1st (EDM - not NSH because that's a little steep), young NHL ready potential top 6 forward (Tomasino) and a depth piece.

Johansen is no longer a top 6, Lankinen is a backup at best and two 2nd round picks is good for nothing when the team (Ottawa is trying to be competitive).

Sure the value is skewed considering you've included MJ in the trade (coming off a down year). But, Ottawa is getting fleeced here. There is no value coming back whatsoever (hence my interesting remark).

I traded for Crouse in v1 only to face backlash lol, that being said I understand what you mean with the backlog of RHW as we've got Vange, Tomasino and Kemell coming up through the system. Would you think Jo with some retention, Prokop or any decent prospect plus the EDM first would be fair for Crouse?

Fair enough, in the comments of the trade you can see even I thought that one was sketchy, what would you think would be a decent return for Kubalik including Carrier or Foote as I'm looking to move an RHD.

I think 1 for 1 it's good, adding the 2nd is where the issue is.

Kubalik for one of your RD is probably closer to fair

I could see us moving the EDM first along with one of the two second rounders and Jo (Also coming off a down year due to injury) and keeping the retention however our younger top 6 forwards (Tommer, Vange, Novak) are likely not to be moved and our older top 6 guys have NMCs (Duchene, Forsberg)

Facts, Johansen is absolute last thing ottawa needs, especially for Cat.

Fair, that's partially why I'm moving him, would you take the same trade for Foote?

Not a big fan of Foote's game, I personally wouldn't trade for him.
