Sure none of them may never be what Nylander was or even is post 23/24 season. But no matter how you look at it....he's a rental. Plus the Hawks can spend 7m on a UFA and get almost the same results as Nylander and keep all those young assets.

They are getting Bedard and will be looking to get going back to the playoffs quicker than you think. Jones isn't getting younger. So getting a 27 year old star would certainly help them make a big leap quicker than other teams do.

So getting Nylander does make some sense, however, this isn't enough for Nylander.
