No, they say yes, provided Zuccarello agrees to waive and goes back to New York. Then proceed to flip Goodrow somewhere else after the fact.

The Wild can't make this deal especially retain 50%. My guess is the Wild will be sellers at the deadline and you maybe to get The Lizard at that time.

1) There is NO retention. For either side.

2) Minnesota literally GAINS $1.4M in cap space doing this trade.

Zuccarello costs $6M

Goodrow costs $3.6M

Laf is on his final ELC year and is RFA, he's currently at 925k.

3) Even more so... Guerin could then flip Goodrow to someone else, and resign Laf to a $4M bridge contract.
