I hate cheering for this team

Description
Taking a stab at the Leafs. Feels like a pipedream but they need grittier guys that can actually play hockey. Feels like they've tried too hard to balance an offensive top-6 with a shutdown bottom-6. I have no idea what Domi, Fast, or Barbashev could fetch on the open market, I thought they were relatively fair deals but I might be off.

  2. 2023 1st round pick (BOS)
Additional Details:
Frankly, to any bottom feeder team that will take him. Similar blueprint to the Mrazek deal, but Murray makes $6M in salary so you kind of have to rule out financially less fortunate teams..
2.
CGY
  1. Nylander, William
Additional Details:
I don't know... It should be Marner going, but something tells me a new GM will look at the roster and try to 'fix' Marner with a new coach. Contract makes Nylander much more enticing in a trade. For Calgary, you're picking up a younger stud who could make a pretty dynamic line With JH & NK. Disappointing season and they might be looking for a shake up. For Toronto, getting a guy who can anchor the 2C spot and move JT to the wing is invaluable, as JT just doesn't have the feet to be as effective there anymore.

I don't think anyone can knock the framework, at least. It might need a touch of balancing either way. Kylington has had a tough go after showing some promise, but his speed could definitely be used on the Leafs back end. Nylander IMO holds a bit more value than Lindholm due to age & production.

Domi is not in any way a gritty player. He's decent offensively and horrible defensively. He's a cheap shot artist though and since that's all good to go in the playoffs, maybe he has some worth but he is just so bad defensively that I wouldn't want him

Plays fast and has some tenacity to go with an abundance of skill. You're right, he's probably not a 'gritty' guy but he doesn't seem to back down from playoff style hockey.

I don't a Calgary trade for Nylander or Marner ever happens as much as I like both of them all of these ACGM trades involving Calgary trading their number 1C and then because of the leaf players large contracts Calgary has no cap space to sign a new 1C. Only why I see it happening is something like Toffoli + Hannifin for Nylander (Toronto gets depth scoring and defense, Calgary gets a little star power) but I don't think the Leafs or their fans like that trade.

He hits less than Kerfoot, by a rather wide margin. He's really not that good. He has some 2nd assists this playoffs but he's generally a no show in the playoffs. For some unknown reason he has this reputation despite not having any proof he plays that way.

Probably more valuable than Marner and Matthews as well. Those rentals are worthless
