Not sure how this is "robbing teams".

WPG is going to lose Dubois for who knows what at this point and they are most likely going to trading Scheifele, so they will be down 2 top centers.

Getting Edmundson ($1,750,000 retained), Hoffman ($2,250,000 retained) isn't great or really needed, but... what makes this a huge win for WPG is MTL's natural 1st overall pick, followed by Kidney, the FLA 1st and a random 2025 pick.
