Gee, it kinda of a cap nightmare for the Devils. Good chance of being over the cap due to bonuses . How to sign Dawson and Mercer next season? DeBrincat doesn't sign that contract, he would just take his 9m QO,.

I'm really just more curious how a 24 year old with one NHL game in his life constitutes being good enough for 2nd pairing work.

As an outside looking in fan, these trade descriptions are hilarious. You over value every single player and make them sound better than they are. Blackwood raw talent? His numbers are below average at best and he’s already 26. Yegor had 1 year where he hit the stats you described on an already good Devils team. Walsh has played 1 NHL game but he is ready to slot into the 2nd pair? Boqvist is 24 and has barely hit 20 points a year in his career how is he a middle 6 guy with high upside? How is Saros worth only that package and same for ADB?

Paying too much for the goalie and too little for DeBrincat. I would just nix both moves. And keep Sharangovich on 1-year deal, reassess in 2024.

If you watched that one game 82 times, you may think the way we do too!!

Honestly, he has been a solid player and the advanced stats crowd LOVE him. With Dougie, Severson, Subban, Marino and eventually Nemec…he just hasn’t gotten the chance in NHL lineup.

He would start year on 3rd pair on many teams. Could play some PK and maybe work 2nd power play at times. If he turned into 2nd pair guy, it wouldn’t shock me.

My fault. Didn’t realize Walsh couldn’t play over *checks notes* Drew Helleson, noted AHL starter as of April.

Devil's used 10 defensemen in the regular season this year, and Walsh wasn't one of them, placing him 11th or later on the depth chart.

If Anaheim is in a situation where Walsh can walk right into the top 4, we fixjed up this off-season.
