Most likely he overpays for Engvall or Wood and that is it.

Time will tell. He made 2 really big moves over the past year in acquiring Romanov and Horvat. I really like that Romanov acquisition for New York. He hasn't been afraid to make big moves.

Too long and too much money for Kane and Bertuzzi. Overpay to dump Bailey. Martin and Clutterbuck probably have value on the trade market to teams that lack grit and leadership. Lots of teams got bounced in round one or two cause of how soft they were.

He massively overpaid for Romanov cause he’s friends with Sorokin. I like him too, but Montreal didn’t even have room for him last year. He was certainly not worth the 13th pick!

The Kane contract is less than what Giroux got from Ottawa last year, so there's actually an argument that what's proposed here is too low.

Bert is making $4.75MM now, and will likely get a raise, so again, there's actually an argument that what's proposed here is too low.
