As a leafs fan, Devils aren’t sending their future for a guy who will likely walk when his contract expires. I think the trade negotiations would more likely be surrounded around Jesper Bratt.


Leafs say hell no to the Hauge trade. Lily is arguably better than Hauge lmao

This isn't a Devils team needing to risk a longer window to win now. They have a ton of young pieces that can make it happen, but they will need to age into it. They will need all that young core for the long term, not just a superstar they get for two years.

fair enough. a team that good already to have two top notch d coming in (hughes and nemec) is crazy. thought maybe theyd consider moving one to get elite forward

Hague is better but that’s an overpayment. Don’t see VGK trading Hague, who’s probably been their best D in the playoffs and makes less than 2.5M.
