I'd jump all over this as a Flames fan. Then recoup some assets by trading Toffoli, or whomever wants to leave between Lindholm, Backlund, Tanev, Hanifin, and Zadorov.

Just a heads up that MTL might get that pick in 2024

a retool is the best course of action in calgary. Just trade anyone older than 28 with not much term.

It would be difficult and unrealistic to trade everyone over 28. You'll esentially be left with Huberdeau, Kadri, Coleman, Mangiapane and Dube up front. I don't think this management goes for it as it would signify a rebuild.

i would just move Toffoli, Tanev and Vladar tbh. Try to get an upgrade at wing, someone who can score like Nylander or Guentzel. Bring up Wolf, re-sign Stecher

I wouldn’t trade TK for anything less than a 2023 1st. That’s what the deal has to start with for him or you might as well keep him. 2024 won’t be nearly as deep or good as a draft.

Also ignore the Leafs fans. Laughton is only worth like 5th to them it’s comical

I think that Provy trade is almost fair value, but I still don't like it. The first is now in the 20's and that 2nd is going to be near the 50's, and Schultz is going to be a one year rental, at the max, prob flipped at the deadline. I just think a 26 year old, who plays in all situations, plays almost 25 minutes a night, and has had seasons where he played like a top pairing guy, I'd want at the very least a first that's at least in the 13-17 range. All Provy needs is a solid d partner and he will be fine. If he had a Devon Toews or a Ryan Pulock or a Damon Severson type, he would be up there for sure.

Mayeb seattle adds a prospect. Wonder if Nelson is too big of an ask

I love Dillon Dube. 24 year old , solid middle 6 guy, signed for 1 more year at 2.3 per , under team control etc. just had 45pts

Im a Flames fan, i know who he is lol. I just don't think he fits Philly's window any better than Konecny does. I guess they have a better chance at signing him long term?
