Boeser wouldn't be moved in a cap dump style deal. This idea needs to die.

I'd be willing to trade Boeser with Myers to whomever is willing to take a flyer on Boeser. If it means dropping down in the draft I'd have a real tough time with that. Rather buyout OEL and move Myers with small sweetener.

Boeser and Myers easily cancels out. Boeser is still a good player. 55 points didn’t come out of nowhere

Take out the picks then. Myers and Boeser for Mastrosimone?

That may be more appealing to the Canucks if they are really that desperate to free cap space

Seems like a win win. Vancouver gets cap relief, Detroit gets low risk, high reward guy.

I don't know anything about Mastrosimone but I'll assume the Canucks value him.

I don't think the Canucks want to move Boeser and if they did they would want the highest possible return, not packaging him with Myers. I agree that it makes sense as a significant cap clearing move but I think the Canucks would only do it if and only if:

1) they get a young piece back that fills an organizational need (center or RHD). Something like Rasmussen, Lundestrom, Colton, etc.
2) They've exhausted every single option around moving Myers, Garland and/or Beauvillier beforehand.

It just seems unlikely that one of those things happens, let alone both of them together.

I’ll throw in Lindstrom, #17OA, and a bonus 5th for #11OA

If you're trying for another 1st from the Canucks the 11th OA is off the table unless you knock their socks off, which I don't see Yzerman doing. I know that Lindstrom isn't good and he and the 5th don't do anything for the Canucks. If you're asking me, it would have to be:

Myers + 11th OA for Rasmussen + 17th OA

Only makes sense if Detroit really targets someone at 11, so the trade probably never materializes and the Canucks happily keep 11th OA.

I would consider moving a 2024 protected 1st.
