Can’t see Vancouver doing that. As much as I’d love Vancouver to move Boeser I can’t see them giving him away for free

And it won’t cost a 2nd to move Bailey. Not even close.

That isn't for free. They are doing it for $13M in cap space.

If I'm the Hawks, I don't know if I'm giving up Ottawa's second to take on Myers. Maybe Dallas' third.

Canucks aren't going to dump Boeser or Garland, which leaves this 11 and Myers for 19 which just isn't worth it for us, I think the only way the Hawks are getting 11 without giving up high end assets is taking on OEL

Not trying to be mean-spirited but how do you think Vancouver becomes cap compliant without having to dump Boeser or Garland? The OEL contract is too long , even with the cap supposedly going up considerably in the next few years, and contending teams don't have that cap speace. To get rid of the Myers contract will also cost you because every team knows that you're not cap compliant and will take advantage (like what the Hawks had to do with the Bickel contract, throw in Teravinen, awful trade). Interested in your thoughts.

Pearson and Poolman aren't playing again which makes us cap compliant it won't take more than a mid pick to move out Myers, Most Canuck fans and Duck fans have an agreement here which is Myers and 4th for FC. the Canucks really don't have to move anyone to be cap complaint would just be nice to move Myers so we can upgrade on defense, i understand the OEL contract is long but that's pretty much the only contract Vancouver has that would be worth dumping along with #11 in a really deep draft.

The 1st and 2nd is the price to move up to 11 while also taking Myers, who could easily be flipped at the deadline for another pick. That leaves Boeser going to Chicago and nothing coming to Vancouver for him which means it’s giving Boeser away for free which isn’t happening.

Myers is not flippable, he is a pure cap dump both before and after his bonus is paid. Although, after his bonus is paid, it might be a bit cheaper to move him. But, I wasn't actually advocating in either direction on the trade itself, just simply stating that it isn't "for free". It is to create $13M in cap space, which, ignoring every other aspect of the trade, is an asset in itself.
