Hall has 2 years left. So he does have term. Lots of talk that Girard will be moved for FW help. This would make sense. I hate it for B’s but I could see something like Hall/Grizz or Forbort for Girard/Beaucage.

I don't think that this would work for the Avalanche for two reasons. First, while they do have forward needs, but it is specifically at the 2C and perhaps 3C if they dont trust Newhook, they don't need to trade for a LW. Additionally, the financials don't make much sense. Hall is underperforming against the remainder of the contract. The Avs could look at someone like a Jason Zucker (slightly better production last year) at half that amount and not give up any assets. Unless the Avs are suddenly looking at futures for Girard (which I cannot imagine), I don't see a good contract swap with the Bruins.

Yeah COL isn’t trading 4 more years of a top 4 dman for 1yr of Hall. COL needs centers.

Girard isn’t being moved unless there is movement on a Toews extension and COL needs specifically 2C help not winger help.
