Avs decline.. toews gets way more than Nylander and newhook has way more value than brodie

I actually think its pretty fair. Unless you switch for Byram, not sure if that would be more fair, as a one for one.

And COL passes again. Like do any ACGM’s take into account anything in regards to the other team? COL needs centers. Toews is worth more than Nylander and COL isn’t adding over $5M in cap. So bad for COL on so many fronts.

It’s not fair. Toews is arguably a top 10 dman, Nylander is good but he isn’t that good. And ffs COL needs centers

Nylander can't play centre, colorado needs centre's, they are hard up against the cap therefore brodie and Nylander won't work financially as well as asset management

In terms of what Nylanders value is, I think a 1 for 1 with Toews is fair.

the biggest questions is who Colorado can afford in one year... Toews or Nylander...
If Nish is out for a while... maybe it worth adding high-offense talent even if Toews value is higher.

Toews is a top 10 dman in the league, plays PK PP, top of the league in TOI, 40+ pts and usually top of the league in plus minus.... Stanley cup champion

Nylander Is a scoring 2nd line winger, plays pp, defensively irresponsible, makes about 3 mill more per year. 2 years now at around a pt per game... no cup ring

It isn’t. Toews was one of EIGHT defenseman that averaged over 25 minutes and had 50pts and that’s getting almost zero PP1. In the off season wing is by far the least valuable position, there are any number of wingers that COL could just sign and still save cap space. And none of that matters because COL needs centers.

Did you look at Colorado's cap space? How do they fit in 13million?

The 3rd line would probably be the smallest line in the NHL. Newhook and Garland are useless players for the leafs. Leafs need physical guys, they have lacked this for years in their role players.
