Not sure that's possible...........at least 1 team moves down, and that's the Sharks.........can't see MG making this deal

Why would San Jose move 4 and 36 to move down? Makes no sense

They move down 2 spots to 6 and get 2 firsts, its fair

I don't think anyone is saying it's not fair. It's just not a good idea when you're in the top 5, there are clearly 5 top prospects and o trade out of the top 5

All it takes is Montreal taking Reinbacher (which is very possible) or another slight reach for Michkov to fall to the Sharks. Would you rather have Smith over no 6 and two other firsts?

This trade would make no sense...

Except for that this is a loaded draft, and that sort of breaks the rules of usual draft values.

Would AZ move 6 and 12 to get 4? Maybe for Michkov because he's a potential franchise forward. And maybe SJ doesn't want Michkov, but grab an extra couple of firsts to move down two slots in, again, a loaded draft, which means they could potentially be getting more elite players if they only consider that Carlsson's/Smith's ceiling is elite. St Louis trading ... like 25 and 29 for 12 would be a stretch in most years, but if this is a 2015 like draft, then you might see two guys in the 20 to 30 range that are like Sabastian Aho (the good forward, not the mediocre D - who was picked at like 33 in 2015).

"Could" this happen? yeah, it makes a certain sort of sense. It's not that far off.

Will this happen? Probably not, because there is no one drunker than teams on draft day when they like or don't like a guy because they basically just drank his koolaid for 8 weeks.

You cna't take chances like that. The Sharks need an impact player, which is guaranteed at their spot. There's no guarantee at 25 or 29 to even get a regualr NHLer. They probably will get something very good at 6, but if I'm the GM, I'm not taking that chance
