What is Murphys value

Description
I will be the first to admit I don’t know much about Connor Murphy or his value. I seem to recall hearing he was a second pair defensive D with some bite, which is something Vancouver could use. Chicago gets Boeser, who is a bit overpaid but a good team guy and a veteran that wouldn't be out of place on Chicago’s 1st line with Bedard.
From what I have read it seems lots are speculating that there could be a possible trade involving these two teams that would include swapping firsts (Chicago's 19OA), Chicago's second and Connor Garland. Would either team need to add here?
Also, I would be just as happy to include Garland over Boeser but figure Boeser may be a better option/fit with Bedard and has one less year on his contract.

I think it is close to fair value, Murphy is pretty underrated and prob worth a late first on his own, I would say VAN needs to add a third rd pick

I agree not terrible value but i dont know if Murphy wants to go to Canada. He has a 10 team no trade list.

I would have no problem adding a 3rd if he's a 2nd pair defensemen.

Definitely a possibility. I would try and sell on on the opportunity to play with Hughes.

Hawks don't make that trade. Hawks probably value Murphy as a late 1st, two 2nd's at a minimum. But the Hawks landing #1 overall (most likely Bedard) changes things for Chicago I think. After the way Murphy stepped up leadership wise after the TDL was impressive. I can definitely see a scenario where Bedard lives w/ Murphy during his rookie season and Murphy mentors him as he transitions to the NHL. I could be all wrong too. I just feel like it now takes an overpay to get Murphy out of Chicago.

Murphy also recently bought a new home in Chicago and is marrying a Chicago girl this summer, so...

Murphy is a late first with a small add (like upgrade a 3rd to a 2nd or a b forward prospect) or 2 2nds. Hawks will retain some like the McCabe deal if necessary to maximize return. For the reasons already explained above, moving Murphy will be more because the offer was enticing enough to make the Hawks move him moreso than they are actively shopping him. While I think the "value" is fairly close on the orginal offer, it probably favors the Canucks a bit which is not going to be enticing. To make it enticing enough, you would probably have to swap out the #19 from the Hawks for the #35 & #52. You could probably throw in Myers as a player to be named later (after his Summer bonus is paid) and flip the #52 to #67 as Myers can fill a RHD lineup spot and be a flip candidate at the deadline.
