While I can understand that, they are the depth type players we'd be looking to call on for injuries, grit, etc. 5ths & 6ths are super long shots anyway so since they're not an issue on the roster or the AHL roster I wouldn't move them just to move them.

At the deadline, sure, but like like @Just_A_Guess said you want some call-ups with NHL experience. Moving both of them, plus Leonard and Huntington doesn't do the kids in MIL any favours either. They need vets to play with. McCarron standing up for Kemell last night when a Coachella player cheap shotted him, for example.

The isles probably won’t trade their 2023 2nd as they already moved their 2023 1st and 3rd round picks. Also Tyson Barrie isn’t worth a second round pick anyway imo, even with retention. His value should peak around a third.

Agree with this. Ideally Johansen moves to the wing and Trotz can grab a solid top 6 C. A legit top line C would be great, but Novak, Glass and a UFA could maybe be enough and ride the hot hand on line 1.

Barrie isn’t worth a 2nd and throwing in a couple of depth F doesn’t help
