Early moves:
-Granlund buyout, nobody is gonna want him he has no traits any GM would want and the buyout isn't bad
-Petry trade he does have a few traits certain (bad) GMs could be interested in, and is by far the most overhated player I've seen here, last year he still played at a legitimate top 4 level, the biggest hindrance will be his NTC
Rutta Trade-he's unnecessary, and Dubas likes to bring in his own depth guys
Leaves team needs as:
Top 6 F:
Best case: Nik Ehlers
Other good options: Garland, Keller (likely too expensive), DeBrincat (likely too expensive), Domi (likely not available), Zucker, Bertuzzi, Toffoli (if flames want to tank)
1-2 high end 3rd liners:
Best case: Labanc and Mangiapane
Other good options: Boeser, Tatar, Nino, Henrique
Competent depth players:
Best case: Hoglander, Newhook, Zadina
Other good options: Dubas loves signing like a billion depth guys, just throw enough darts and we should get enough guys to have a competent bottom 6 (and nobody like Archibald is guaranteed a roster spot)
A good defensive minded 2RD
Best case: We kept John Marino
Next best: Connor Murphy IF CHI is willing to move him
Other good options: Dylan Demelo. there aren't many, I doubt MIN would move Spurgeon, LAK prolly doesn't want to move Walker or Roy, I have no clue if David Savard is any good still, CGY prolly wants to keep Tanev
2 Depth d men so Ruh is the 7th D and in case Smith isn't ready
I would look for other young guys who's development may have stalled (I love Heinola), but Dubas likely goes the FA/Euro FA route would also take Durzi, Spence, or Bjornfot from LAK
Goalies:
I don't think Dubas will go for a 1A, high end starter, he never has in the past, he'll prolly go for 2 1B guys to work as a tandem
Best case: Vej and the cheapest of Jarry, Raanta, Freddy, Korpi, Varlomov, and Hill
Other not horrible options: Lyon, Stolarz, Halak, Rittich, Ned
