I could see this happening after Myers has his signing bonus paid.

Unless Vas has a runaway vezina season, I think Florida and Buffalo pass Tampa if this is their roster. They were only 6 and 7 points behind this year respectively

They also didn't have Cirelli and Bogosian the First 2 months of the season recovering from shoulder surgery, and started slow after another long run. They'll get more rest and be able to train not rehab this off-season which will help

Ok TB ownership isn't going to sweat a 500k signing bonus or TB can add 500k cash considerations.

And they still had a playoff spot all but locked up since December

And I think this team isn't as good, everyone got a year older and Buffalo and Florida will improve.

And Stamkos and Hedman will be even older. Aging curves in the NHL are real, especially with all the playoff games added on top, not to mention the toll injuries take.

Tampa will be significantly more rested for the start of next season. 3 seasons in a row of only getting 3.5 months maximum off is very taxing. This year they will get at least 5 months of rest, probably closer to 5.5 months

The 10 guys I named are all in there prime. Stamkos is coming of 2 of his better years. 1.17ppg over the last 2 seasons. Hedman started slow getting used to a new partner, and still had a 49 point season and played outstanding defense. To paraphrase Mark Twain The rumors of TBs demise are greatly exaggerated.

Well, just sharing my opinion that better days are behind them and better days are in front of Florida, Buffalo and even ottawa

That's fine, I also think they aren't as good as last year, no killorn etc. I also think they could have 93-95 points and miss the playoffs

I'm just saying I think it is very unlikely that Tampa falls out of the playoffs. I think it's more likely that 5 teams in the Atlantic make it
