Description

This post is meant to be a fun thought exercise with three teams that are connected on this site due to the different circumstances of their franchise. I think everyone gets something of value here but I also would like constructive criticism about the move because it’s something I think it completely original. If I’m screwing one side over too much let me know there’s a lot of moving parts.

Let’s sort out who gets what in the description so however I put together the post is the least confusing.

So I don’t think it’s fair or anything right now, but I wanted to see if there was any interest in working around this idea. I think Chicago needs to balance the sides out with picks but that discussion happens later.

I can’t get past your lines. Reese Johnson on the second line& moving Hayes & Ludwinski up to the big time are making me cringe. Not against trying it in preseason but don’t particularly like the odds of it succeeding.

I don't think any of the three teams do this. Toronto gives up Nylander and #28 for Garland, Murphy, #35 and the Murray dump? Don't see it. Vancouver sheds a ton of cap and gives up #11. Guess it depends how much they value Raddysh. Hawks get #11 and Boeser, but at a cost of Murphy, TRad and #35? Guess that piece is OK, but Hawks will need to add to deal to make Toronto whole, and depending on what that is, it may be too much for #11 and Boeser.

This one makes my head hurt 🤕

Hard to see why Toronto would go along with this. Nylander is by far the most valuable piece in this structure, and getting rid of Murray doesn't balance that out. Maybe give TML Raddysh and let them keep 28 and then give Vancouver 35 along with Nylander and the massive cap relief. Also don't get why you bother with such modest retention on Boeser and Garland; BH don't need it.

Vancouver won’t retain on both Boeser and garland and since the hawks have lots of space and won’t be competitive for years they can take boesers full cap

With everything CHI is giving up here, I feel like they could do better selling/moving those pieces separately. But, it is interesting.
