It's probably more like Deangelo 50% retained for future considerations

You lied to me. This isn't a blockbuster... wait actually someone taking TDA at this point feels like a blockbuster.

Theres 0 chance that happens. If they retain and he becomes a 2.5M players someone will have to and 100% will pay for him

I get it but GMs trade for questionable guys all of the time if he can play someone will want him for a year at 2.5M

THe problem is Fletcher traded draft capital for a guy no one wanted and then signed him to a 2 year deal at a $5M cap hit. That guy was a terrible GM

He might be the worst GM in the history of the salary cap that’s not an exaggeration I think he lost every single trade he made for Philly and he wasn’t liked in Minnesota either

I get that most Flyers fans dislike TDA, but he has value, and there is no reasoning for the Flyers to give him away. Letting him play the season and trying at the trade deadline is far more worth a gamble than some 7th rd pick now.

I think Tortz continues to be exactly what TDA needs... I don't think that situation is changing and TDA is gonna have to swallow his pride and start following orders because he's getting a terrible reputation for being uncoachable. The "locker room cancer" stuff is probably blown out of proportion cuz I can't believe anything that comes out of New York, but being uncoachable is not a desirable player characteristic... yet Anthony Duclair, another guy known for being uncoachable, is doing okay in Florida.

Maybe TDA needs a consummate professional to play with... he's like the loose cannon that needs to straight by-the-book cop.
