1st and a solid prospect at least I would assume would be the opening line for a phone call on him

Goalies are always so hard to judge.

He is on a good cap for 2 years.

It can be anywhere between 2 x 2nds to a late first and a decent prospect in my mind. There will be a market for him for sure (or for Swayman for that matter). But time will tell.

I’d say at least a 1st rounder in the 20’s range.

No chance, no team should pay that.

Either a super late 1st or a B- prospect and a 2nd rounder

1st/3rd, or pair of 2nds, or similar value in prospects.

Personally id rather pull prospects.

What happens when you trade for a late 1st and when you are on the clock nothing really there you like? With prospects you have more of a say.

He didn’t have a good playoffs. And only 2 years left and teams will probably fear he regresses in front of another defence .

Teams usually prefer picks because u get to choose “the prospects u really want”

I’m the opposite camp. If i really want a center and gets to my pick there is nothing i like i screwed myself. Whereas I take a C prospect. Not only do i know what i’m getting. I also see how they have developed since they were drafted. Less risk.

If the pick is early enough i’ll take the pick.

A late 1st and a teams 2nd or 3rd best C or RD prospect. Or a high 2nd and that.

He had positive GSAx in the playoffs, 2 years left is plenty for a goalie. He was good in front of a terrible defensive Buffalo team.
