should just keep gallagher at this point, yeah his contract is bad but he's a veteran on this team and if he can stay healthy he's a decent player
i don't understand why everyone is treating his ****ty contract like it's the end of the world. bad contracts have always been a thing plus it's not like the habs are in cap hell or anything like that

Only deal the Habs do on this post is the Winnipeg one. No team that's rebuilding would trade away the next three years 1st round picks

Still no defense or goaltending to make a wildcard spot. The Atlantic is stacked right now with Toronto, Tampa and Florida all being top 10 teams in the league. Detroit, Ottawa and Buffalo are all on the way up and even with this roster the Habs would be in a dog fight.

Give them a couple more years drafting in the top 10 and start pushing for a playoff spot. By then Toronto may fall apart, Boston won't be what they are and Tampa will be on their downward swing.

Gally may be a decent guy and/or a knowledgable veteran, but good is not a word I would use to describe him. It takes significantly more value to dump that awful contract.

This is the same Gallagher who has missed over 100 games the past 4 seasons and who's production is declining when he does play? Hawks want nothing to do with that contract for a 1st and 2nd. That offer isn't close.

Hawks not looking for 4 years of a bad contract. 1-2 years is what they are looking to take on.
