Preds have enough middle 6 centers. We need legitimate top 6 centers.

He is solid. More of a 3C but can move up and down the lineup. Trade could be anywhere, I just figured Coyle would have Nashville on his trade list.

Maybe just had a really off year. Dubas obviously familiar with Campbell. They also get a good puck moving dman.

So in the end, you trade Debrusk, Ullmark, and Gryz for Nuge, a 3rd, and a 5th... that's awful for the Bruins. Debursk is worth a 1st on his own, as is Ullmark potentially. Gryz is worth a 3rd and a 5th. While that is just awful value, Nuge isn't going to waive his NTC to come to Boston, not when he signed a long term deal for less money in EDM. He wants to stay there and raise his family

Value wise it could maybe happen, cap wise it could probably not! The B´s need to create cap space - unfortunately the Oilers are in a similar situation, thus a seemingly bad trading partner regarding Ullmark. DeBrusk to the Oilers is however a logical move - if Bergy retires it wouldn´t shock me if they went so far as to offer DeBrusk and Lysell for RNH.

Nuge is better than all of the above and in a serious position of need for the Bruins.

Position of need, sure, but is he worth that investment? That kind of package nets far better than a 30 year old center who just broke through and had an incredible year on a historic powerplay/ offense. He has never proven to be a true #1

Contracts are fine but the trades do not work. RNH is signed until he's 36yo and he will regress. Campbell requires multiple firsts to move so DeBrusk+Ullmark in return is too much. Same for the Pens, they won't take Campbell even with Grzelcyk. Campbell is 1B at best and you're right, Dubas is familiar with him which is why he didn't gave him this awful contract.

We'll see what's Nashville's direction but doubt wants to acquire Coyle. They can sign a cheaper free agent instead of taking on his contract.

This whole thing of trying to keep this team a contender for few years is unrealistic.
