There is no way the wings are retaining salary plus the sens likely will try and use Debrincat to get a goalie.

Huge overpayment for a small RFA winger with a 9 mil qualifying offer and asking for retention on an entry level contract is about as cheap as it gets.

Red Wings' counteroffer is Cross Hanas for DeBrincat + Tkachuk.

Get real, you're not getting a top 5 drafted prospect for DeBrincat, let alone adding two picks to it lol.

He was the 6th pick. And I think you could get that high a player for AD if he extends but the picks make it lopsided

He is a top 5 prospect in the league lmfao.
DeBrincat isn't even worth a top 10 pick, let alone a top 10 prospect.

How do you figure a guy who has the 15th most goals over the last 5 years isn't worth a top 10 pick?

Putting that much emphasis on potential vs production is what kills many teams chances at competing
