With Ottawa needing defence, and Colorado having too many defenceman and not enough top scorers. This deal wouldn’t surprise me. Ottawa may need to add a sweetener

Ottawa has 4 very good LD in Chabot, Chychrun, Sanderson and Brannstrom that one of them has to move and play the right side. Why should they get a 5th LD ?

IMO, brannstrom should be traded. I forgot to add that, but Ottawa doesn’t need his type of play for the team they have.
Yeah it’s another Left handed D, my other thought was Brett Pesce from Carolina as he’s a right handed D

Trading Byram means that COL must re-sign Toews which will be a hard task after ADB is re-signed. What we haven’t spoken about is that there is a hole at 2C as well. Conclusion, trading for and re-signing ADB equals a much weaker D-corp (which is vital to Avs system) and no solution at 2C. Not a very good trade in other words.
