Impending attack from enemy troops!! No reason for Ottawa to make that trade. Not enough incentive

Fair but thoughts on the players fit in TB? Can add another prospect or two if needed. Maybe just Alnefelt for Kastelic and a pick too idk.

Oh I really like Kastelic's game. He would fit great in Tampa. I've had him in trades since the start of last season. He's a great target for any team truthfully. Which means he is expensive. He's one of those rare commodity players. He's exclusively a bottom 6/4th line C with sandpaper. He's young and on a cheap deal for the next 2 years. It's a sellers market and Ottawa would be better off keeping him unless they get a ransom. Not sure. I wouldn't trade Hugo for him. Too big of an asset to give up for a guy who would only play 10 minutes a night. The upside is much higher in keeping Alnefelt, rather than trading him to get Kastelic. I think he's possible to be bought, but still unsure of the package I would send to get him

Good way of explaining it. For JBB tho, he’s shown he’s never scared to overpay for “his guy.” For me, Hugo’s ceiling in TB is backup goalie. I’d use his value to add where we lack

Oh no doubt. I agree that we have holes that need plugging, and Kastelic would do that for us. I honestly don't know enough about Hugo to make a deep judgement. Based off what little I've seen and from the reliable sources I've talked to, it seems more beneficial to keep him rather than trade him for a bottom 6 guy. He's undoubtedly not going to be our starter. It's Vasys next for almost certainly the next 5 years. But maybe down the road he turns into a starter or a tandem with Vasy in his older years. Either way I think keeping him is the smarter decision. Coming up under Vasys wing is a great path to take I think. But we could sell him in a year or four at the same value or maybe higher if he jumps. Then we could use him as a big trade chip after he gets some time in the big league
