Everyone knows Gryz is on the block and the Hawks can find plenty of bottom pair LD in the UFA market instead of giving up a 3rd. Nobody is looking to do the Bruins any favors.

Chicago isn’t probably a great fit for Gryz. But I always find it funny when people say “you want to trade this guy so the value of him goes way down cause it’s a favor” disregarding the possibility that there’s teams that actually want the player and they will pay to get that player because it improves their team

Hawks are unlikely to trade for D unless it is a cap dump and they are getting a pick for doing so.

Just not true. He was a scratch because Montgomery thought his size wasn’t a good matchup for Florida. Gryz’s numbers and analytics were far better than Forbort’s and most of the defense to be honest.
