People keep saying this and it has never been substantiated. It's nothing more than complete speculation, about as credible as Dubois leaving because of Torts.

From reading the stories out of Winnipeg, if anything it sounds to me like it was more on Wheeler and Maurice than Scheifele.

Also, if CBJ is paying this price there better be some extensions involved and that '24 1st needs to be top-10 protected.

I agree the Sheif-Laine drama is overblown, but I still don’t want him cause he doesn’t play defense, which IMO is a big reason why WPG can’t do anything in the playoffs.
