Murphy under contract for 3 years at 2.2 is at the least a 1st and 2nd. Schmidt may not be a cap dump, but he has SOME negative value. Simply not enough here for the Hawks to be even remotely interested.

Yeah. Salomonsson is very interesting and a 28th overall in this draft isn't bad, either. But taking on Schmidt AND trading Murphy with 50% retention... I don't see it working out. Maybe take Schmidt out and CHI probably accepts. I'm sure WPG could get something for Schmidt, even if it is just a 3rd or late 2nd. Especially with retention. But it won't be from CHI.
