No, I think Calgary would take that given Tkatchuk's departure. They obviously get the best player in the deal, but it shores up multiple positions for the leaf's, and none of those players are bottom 6 players. Hanifin really stepped up in the last half of the season and is young enough to resign. Dube broke the 45 pt mark even with a lower s% than normal and can play any position in the line up. Pelletier has wheels and will be a top 6 winger (he just needs to work on his 200ft game...granted, small NHL sample size).
Two paragraphs so going to reply to each individually to avoid confusion, I agree that they aren't bottom 6 nhl players, Hanifin is to provide a 1a/1b/1c paring with Rielly and McCabe so coach has confidence in any pairing that rolls out (I put Severson with Hannifin to cover his need to jump up in the play, like Schenn was to Rielly and Lilly with McCabe so McCabe has another puck moving defensemen to rely on).
As for Duke, He's there on his speed and drive, he's going to be the 3rd guy back every time to allow JT and ROR to thrive down low.
Pelletier was there to form a version of the 'kid' line that NYR had. I am huge on Minten and Knies and could see this line becoming one of the most underrated lines in sports. They are all fast, hard on the puck and have a burning desire to assert themself and have an identity in the league, Something that should pan out in the NHL.

They'd make cap room elsewhere. I feel that the Florida pick could get pushed out a year and be high, as their window is now, not in 3 years (assuming they keep the 2025). *Conditions: If the 2025 1st RD pick that Florida sent to Calgary is a lottery pick resulting in Calgary receiving Florida's 2026 1st RD pick instead, then the 2025 4th RD pick that Calgary sent to Florida also slides to 2026* Just call it a feeling, but I think Florida declines in 2025.
Agree, but Calgary needs to get rid of the Huberdeau contract when he has his bounce back season, same with Kadri's... besides that, they need depth up front (Marner would help with that) and they look good to go
