If PLD's list of teams he'll extend with contains more than just Montreal and his contract expectations to sign elsewhere aren't unreasonable it'll take a lot more than this. Colorado, both NY teams, Tampa, Carolina, Vegas etc., would all love to pick up a player like PLD.

From what it was say around 9m per year but not 100% sure. The good question is like you how much there team he would be willing to sign long-term to have an family.

Last time montreal traded a top 4 D prospect for a former 3rd overall QC player it didn't end well for us,

Not gonna happen even in your widest dream, habs will not offer ANY piece who's supposed to help or currently help in the new identity of the team
